Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This talk would focus on the "how" of IVI systems using GENIVI Open Source components as a starting point. We'd start by looking at some of the requirements for an IVI subsystems, namely Lifecycle, Audio Management, Layer Management, Location based services, and we'd examine how GENIVI software fits those requirements. Then we'd take a look at what integration might look like as demonstrated by the GENIVI Demo project. An overview of GENIVI's tooling which has evolved significantly in the last year or two. From there we can extrapolate what a modern head unit might contain with a particular focus on mid- to high-end European automaker systems.
